Senior Deputy Compliance Officer
Jason Garcia serves as the Senior Deputy Compliance Officer for the University of Texas at Austin’s University Risk and Compliance Services (URCS). He joined URCS in September 2018 to support the strategic design and operation of the Compliance and Ethics Program.
Before joining UT Austin, Jason worked at Stanford University from 2011-2018 as a Compliance Program Manager where he managed and developed Stanford's institutional Ethics and Compliance Program and supported their Enterprise Risk Management initiative. Prior to Stanford, Jason worked from 2008-2010 to establish and maintain the University of Texas System’s Systemwide Compliance Program.
Jason received his B.A. in Government from UT Austin. He also holds a certification as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
